Erebus House - Office Space To Let
New ground floor office space to let at the gateway to the Celtic Sea in Pembroke Dock, ideal for the renewable energy industry.
As part of the Pembroke Dock Marine project, Erebus House is one of four Grade II listed annexes being renovated into a flexible modern workspace. Due to Pembroke Dock’s rich maritime history, a naming competition took place in 2021 to rename each annex, with each name focusing on the heritage, renewable future and maritime history in the local area.
David Lockwood’s suggestion of Erebus was one of the names chosen by the panel, and has been given to the ground-floor building to the north of the Western Hangar, which will include office space, ramped access and parking.
The total measurements for the space available is 169m², with office spaces ranging from 23m² to 38m².

The story behind the name “Erebus”…
The HMS Erebus was built in Pembroke Dock, which at the time was the only Royal Dockyard in Wales.
HMS Erebus was launched in 1826 and took part alongside HMS Terror in John Franklin's lost expedition to Antarctica in the 1840s, under the command of James Clark Ross. The expedition was in search of the North-West Passage between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
The expedition was one of history’s greatest mysteries with both ships and its crew disappearing until there was a breakthrough in September 2014, when the shipwreck of HMS Erebus was discovered to the east of Queen Maud Gulf, Canada making Erebus the last remaining warship of the 260 that were built between 1814 and 1922 at Pembroke Dockyard.
Erebus is also the project name of Blue Gem Wind’s 100MW Floating Offshore Wind Test & Demonstration project in the Celtic Sea which was also named after the famous ship.
