Temporary Deployment of Scientific Equipment on the seabed, South of Angle Buoy

Porpoise Lander to be deployed South of Angle Buoy from 29th August 2024 for 2½ months.

1. MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, from 29th August 2024, RS Aqua will temporarily deploy a Porpoise Lander for the purposes of scientific study, in a position approximately 300m south of the Angle Cardinal Buoy. Planned Deployment Location 51° 41.467'N, 005° 8.233'W, in about 14m depth of water for approximately 2½ months. REF MWL005/24.
2. The Lander has dimensions of length 62cm, width 85cm and will sit 65cm above the seabed in ballasted condition, it will be remotely monitored.
3. Mariners are requested to avoid anchoring or deploying fishing equipment in the immediate vicinity.
