Deployment of 2 OREC Wavebuoys at St Ann’s Head
- MARINERS ARE HEREBY ADVISED that, 2 OREC Wavebuoys are to be deployed at St Ann’s Head by ORE Catapult. Deployment will be carried out w/c 7th April 2025 for approximately 12 months. The wavebuoys will be secured to the seabed with a 500kg sinker and a single riser.
- Buoys will be deployed in the following locations:
- Wave buoy 1 (1 km offshore): 51° 40.741’ N 005° 11.407’ W (20 m CD)
- Wave buoy 2 (2 km offshore): 51° 40.635’ N 005° 12.241’ W (34 m CD)
- Both buoys have a 90cm spherical hull and will be painted yellow and feature a yellow light with characteristics Fl(5)Y20s. Mariners are required to navigate with caution in these areas.
