Milford Waterfront has collaborated with multiple organisations to deliver a week’s worth of Easter celebrations full of family fun. From 14th to 27th April, visitors will be able to enjoy a wide variety of activities. There’s an Easter Family Fun Day; a Family 5km Cycle Challenge; canoeing; and a funfair - not to mention the return of daily boat trips with Discover Coast and Cleddau.

There’ll be plenty of opportunities to get your hands on some chocolate during the Easter Family Fun Day on 17th April. The Easter Bunny is making an appearance from 10:30 – 12:00 at Milford Haven Museum and an Easter Trail will start at midday. Forms for the Trail can be collected from the Museum and then returned before 3:45pm to get a complimentary Easter egg. PAT Pony rides will also be taking place outside Phoenix Bowl.

The Family 5km Cycle Challenge, in association with Sport Pembrokeshire and Milford Tritons, is a free event on 14th April. Entrants will cycle two laps around Milford Haven Town Centre and Robert Street, around the Rath, and finish at Milford Waterfront. There’ll be a range of activities at the finishing line, including balance bikes for children, flat repair demonstrations, bike safety information and e-bike taster sessions with RentanEbike UK.

Canoes can be hired for 30 minute sessions from the top of the slipway at Milford Marina from the 14th-17th April. Buoyancy aids are provided for all participants, and although the canoes are very stable, it is advised that participants bring an extra set of clothes just in case!

The fun of the fair will be at Milford Waterfront, underneath Victoria Bridge, every day between 2:30pm – 8:00pm from the 17th until the 27th April.

Natalie Hunt, Events and Activities Co-Ordinator for Milford Waterfront commented: “Our partnerships are really important to us. We’re so excited to be working with amazing people to offer a wide selection of activities at Milford Waterfront this Easter. And with this being our first event since the Cleddau Bridge became free to cross; we’re hoping to see lots of new faces enjoying what we have to offer.”

Notes to Editors

Milford Waterfront

Milford Waterfront is a multi-million pound regeneration project being led by the Port of Milford Haven. It aims to revitalise the marina and docks into a vibrant destination, adding to the existing mix of leisure, retail and dining businesses and boosting the economy by providing long term, sustainable jobs.

A number of flagship projects have already been completed at the site including the installation of new lock gates that have significantly reduced locking times and the construction of new fishing buildings for the industry.

The new development will also celebrate the arts, culture and heritage of the area, working in partnership with key stakeholders. The Port already hosts a busy calendar of events at the marina such as Torch Theatre Sunset Cinema screenings and awards ceremonies which add to the diverse range of attractions on the waterfront.

In June 2018, Pembrokeshire County Council unanimously approved a revision to the Milford Waterfront development’s outline planning consent.
